GRANTS for “non-German” Berlin-based authors …

22. August '17, 20:35 Uhr - Blog - Martin Jankowski

GOOD NEWS: Dear friends of STADTSPRACHEN, PARATAXE & Co: For the first time the senate of Berlin tenders grants for officially Berlin-based (fiction) authors of “non-German” languages (meaning: other languages than German) for 2018.

They offer six annual grants for professional literary writers of up to 24,000,- € (12 x 2000,- €).  This is a great chance for all of you with grand plans and great literary skills. And it is the long-awaited result of our long struggle for equal rights for all the languages Berlin writes in.

Application form and exposé must be given in German language, the extract of the manuscript can be in ANY language! Details see link below. Fun fact: The Berlin senate of culture published the official text with a download link of the detailed conditions in German HERE and now also IN ENGLISH. Deadline is Oct 19 until 6 pm latest.

In case you need support and advice for your application or the application process, please send us your questions via e-mail or try to appoint a counseling interview with our office via info@stadtsprachen.de
