Douglas Valeriano Pompeu, born 1983 in Indaiatuba, studied linguistics and literature studies, as well as German literature at the Universidade de Campinas (UNICAMP) and Universidade de São Paulo respectively. He is currnetly working on his doctorare at the Latin American institute of the Freie Universität, where he works as a lecturer on the subjects of Brazilian literature and culture. His dissertation focuses on the history of Brazilian literature published in the Suhrkamp Verlag. In addition he is a literary translator and author. He operates the blog “Notas com Picote e Grampo“.
