Aurélie Maurin is head of TOLEDO, the international section of the German Translators Fund. Since 2000 she has been living in Berlin as a curator and presenter (e.g. for the House of World Cultures, the House of Poetry), as a literary translator (e.g. of Thomas Brasch, Thomas Rosenlöcher) and as an editor (e.g. the poetry series VERSschmuggel published by Das Wunderhorn and the magazine la mer gelée published by Nouvel Attila Paris). As deputy chairwoman of the “Netzwerk freie Literaturszene Berlin” and spokeswoman for literature for the “Koalition der Freien Szene”, she advocated the expansion of translation funding and was, among other things, a juror for the Berlin Senate for the City-Tax-Kulturmittel as well as for the working scholarships for literature. Together with Ulf Stolterfoht she is the artistic director of the Poetry Meeting Münster. She is also a musician and lyricist.
