Bastienne Voss, born in Berlin, completed an acting degree and studied singing at the Carl Maria von Weber Academy of Music in Dresden. Before she became a long-time member of the Berlin cabaret ensemble DISTEL, she played in various television series and theatres. Her first book “Drei Irre unterm Flachdach” – a family chronic, was published in 2007 by Hoffmann und Campe Verlag. Her novel “Mann für Mann” was published by Piper in 2010. In 2015, Bastienne Voss published the book “Glaubt mir kein Wort” at Bebra-Verlag, which was a collection of the satirical writing of her partner and cabaret author Peter Ensikat, who died in March 2013. In 2019 her third novel “Grünauge sieht Dich” will be published by Picus Verlag Wien. Bastienne Voss lives with her daughter in Berlin.
