Bettina Hindes

Bettina Hindes studied politics, languages, and culture at Claremont McKenna College (BA). Later she earned a Master’s Degree in Persian Language and Culture. After quitting a career in the defense industry, she studied Theology in Stuttgart and is currently pursuing her MFA in Creative Non-Fiction at Carlow University, Pittsburgh. Her creative writing and poetry has appeared in various places including The Startup at Medium.com and she is currently working on a memoir about her experiences in the US Army. She has performed her stories live at The Moth Pittsburgh, and Smutslam Berlin—where she won third place. She lives and works as a translator, creative writer, and editor in Berlin.
