Joey Bahlsen is a freelance author and translator. He holds a bachelor in philosophy and music from the University of Sussex and an MSc in creative writing from Edinburgh University. His prose has been published in cake magazine, minor literature/s and The Wild Word, among others. His poetry was short-listed for the Into the Void Poetry Prize 2020. He has translated texts by Sharon Otoo, Donna Stonecipher, Idra Novey, William Cody Maher, Chavisa Woods, MC Jabber, Marie-Pascale Hardy, Göksu Kunak, Ian Orti and more. He lives in Berlin and Lisbon and is editor and art director of stadtsprachen magazin.
