Karolina Golimowska, born in Aachen, grew up in Warsaw, lives in Berlin and is a literary scholar, translator and interpreter for Polish as well as author of short prose and journalistic texts. Her work has been published in Gazeta Wyborcza, the German-Polish language magazine dialogue, The European, Chimera, Wyspa, and scientific journals. Golimowska holds a doctorate in American Studies and teaches at the Freie Universität in Berlin. In 2014, she was awarded the German-Polish Tadeusz-Mazowiecki Journalist Prize in the print category.
