Marina Agathangelidou, born 1984 in Athens, has lived in Berlin since 2010. She studied theatre studies and literary translation in Athens and completed her studies with a doctorate at the Institute for Theatre Studies of the Free University of Berlin. She works as a freelance translator and translates from and into German. She has translated works by Terézia Mora (“Alle Tage”) and Gerhard Falkner (“Gegensprechstadt-ground zero” and “Apollokalypse”) into Greek. She was involved in the “Constellation of Debt” project, a collective dialogue between Greek and German poets, where she translated all the texts produced in the course of the project. Agathangelidou publishes poems, essays, literary reviews and theatre reviews in Greek and German. She is a member of the German-Greek Jury (2019-2020) at the online literature portal and translation promotion programme Litrix.de / German Literature Online of the Goethe-Institut.
