Milena Nikolova, born 1974 in Sofia, Bulgaria, grew up in Bulgaria, Germany and Switzerland. She has lived in Berlin since 1995, where she completed a study of American and Scandinavian literature and cultural studies at the Humboldt university. From 1996 until 2000, she was working as an art correspondent for the journals Flash Art and Spiegel Spezial. Later she would go on to accompany several larger film projects as a manufacturer. Her trilingual lyrical story “SchrödingER’s Cat – a subatomic love story” (Bulg. Котката на ШрьодингЕР – субатомен памфлет в реално време) was published 2016 at the Rhizome Verlag in Sofia, with illustrations by Viktor Muhtarov, Tita Koicheva and Sava Muhtarov. Nikolova works as a freelance author, editor and translator in Berlin.
