Synke Köhler, born 1970 in Dresden, completed studies of psychology, graduated at the Drehbuchwerkstatt München and the Master’s program for literary writing at the Deutsches Literaturinstitut Leipzig. In 2011 her poetry collection “waldoffen” was published in the poetry edition 2000 by the Allitera Verlag. In 2016 followed the story collection “Kameraübung” at Kremayr & Scheriau in Austria. She continued to publish in anthologies, literary journals and newspapers. She received prizes and scholarships, most recently Würth Literature Prize and Heinrich Heine Scholarship in Lüneburg. In the fall of 2019 her novel debut “Die Entmieteten” was published by SatyrVerlag. The author lives in Berlin.
