Mara Mah\u00eda (A Coru\u00f1a, 1968) studied communication in Madrid in the eighties, but grew up in New York, where she lived more than fifteen years and where she finally understood the meaning of the word \u201cimmigrant\u201d. There she did all kind of works while transforming her boring Castilian with large doses of Caribbean Spanish, writing for several Latin newspapers. She currently writes and draws in Berlin.
