Idra Novey\u00a0is the author of the novels “Those Who Knew”, and “Ways to Disappear”, winner of the 2017 Sami Rohr Prize, the 2016 Brooklyn Eagles Prize<\/em>, and a finalist for the L.A. Times Book Prize for First Fiction<\/em>. Her poetry collections include “Exit, Civilian”, selected for the 2011 National Poetry Series<\/em>, “The Next Coun\u00adtry”, a final\u00adist for the 2008 Fore\u00adword Book of the Year Award<\/em>, and “Clarice: The Visitor”, a collaboration with the artist Erica Baum.\u00a0Her fiction and poetry have been translated into ten languages and she\u2019s written for\u00a0The New York Times<\/em>,\u00a0The Los Angeles Times<\/em>, NPR\u2019s All Things Con\u00adsid\u00adered<\/em>, New York Magazine<\/em>, and The Paris Review<\/em>. She is the recipient of awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, Poets & Writ\u00aders Mag\u00ada\u00adzine, the PEN Trans\u00adla\u00adtion Fund, and the Poetry Foundation. She has also translated the work of several prominent Brazilian writers, most recently Clarice Lispector\u2019s novel “The Pas\u00adsion Accord\u00ading to G.H”. She\u2019s taught at Prince\u00adton Uni\u00adver\u00adsity, Columbia, NYU, Fordham, the Catholic University of Chile, and in the Bard Prison Initiative.<\/p>\n
