His debut novel &#8220;Jeder Tag wie heute&#8221; was published in 2014 by Wallstein Verlag. An animated film based on the novel is currently in the works as a German-French co-production. Segal wrote for the newspapers <em>Die Zeit<\/em>, <em>Die Welt<\/em>, <em>Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung<\/em>, <em>Le Monde diplomatique<\/em> and <em>Sinn und Form<\/em>.
