Patricia Klobusiczky, born in Berlin in 1968 to a French mother and a Hungarian father, has a multilingual and multicultural background. She studied Literary Translation in D\u00fcsseldorf and worked for ten years as an editor for Rowohlt. Since 2006, she translates English (American, British, Canadian, Australian, Zimbabwean) and French literature into German, i.a. novels by William Boyd, Petina Gappah, Lorrie Moore, Marie Darrieussecq, Sophie Divry and Ruth Zylberman. She was awarded several translation grants by the Deutsche \u00dcbersetzerfonds, e.g. for the very first German translation of\u00a0 modern classic Jean Pr\u00e9vost. From 2016-2019, she also worked as a mentor for the Goldschmidt-Programm, coaching young translators from French into German, and she moderates literary events.\u00a0 From March 2017 to June 2021, she was president of the German Literary Translators’ Association (Vd\u00dc).<\/p>\n
