Odile Kennel<\/strong> lives in Berlin as a poet and translator of mainly contemporary poetry from French, Portuguese, Spanish and English. She writes in German and French and likes to invite other languages into her texts. In her essay Lust<\/em> (2021) and her poetry collection Hors Texte<\/em> (2019), she explores the space between text and sex, allowing languages to follow each other. Her first volume of poetry, oder wie hei\u00dft diese interplanetare Luft<\/em>, was published by dtv in 2013, as were two novels, Was Ida sagt<\/em> (2011) and Mit Blick auf See<\/em> (2017). She was nominated for the Alfred D\u00f6blin Prize for the latter. In 2022, she was awarded the Paul Scheerbart Prize for her translations of poetry. Lust was shortlisted for the Bookwomen’s Prize in 2023. Her poetry collection irgendetwas dazwischen<\/em> will be published by Verlagshaus Berlin in autumn 2023.<\/p>\n
