Graduated in cultural studies from the University of Warsaw.<\/p>\n
In 2009 she published the novel Tomsymia, which was nominated for the Literature Prize of the City of Gdynia and the Prize of the Polish Society of Publishers. For the reportage series Bukareszt. Kurz i krew (“Bucharest. Dust and Blood”) she received Newsweek’s Teresa Tora\u0144ska Prize (2013), the Gryfia Literary Prize and TVP Kultura’s Cultural Guarantee. For her third book, B\u0142oto s\u0142odsze ni\u017c mi\u00f3d (“Mud Sweeter than Honey”), she was awarded the Polityka Passport and the Amber Butterfly Prize.<\/p>\n
Nominated for the Nike Literary Prize, the Kapu\u015bci\u0144ski Prize and the Barbara Pawlak Prize. She has published in Du\u017cy Format, Polityka, Gazeta Wyborcza and Herito, among others. Scholarship holder of the “M\u0142oda Polska” programme of the Polish Ministry of Culture and the Literary Colloquium Berlin.<\/p>\n
Her books have been translated into eight languages.<\/p>\n
