She was born in Tabriz in 1963. She began writing stories at an early age, and during her writing career she published five collections of stories and seven novels, as well as a large number of stories in literary magazines. Her works have won numerous awards and have been translated into English, Italian, French, Turkish, Spanish, Kurdish and Norwegian.
