Ruirui Ye is a professional zheng musician and lecturer at the Berlin University of the Arts. She has played numerous concerts in China and Germany. She is also a member of the International Council for Traditional Music and Dance (ICTMD). She is also a member of the Guzheng Association of the Chinese Musicians Association. In 2024, she received her doctorate from the Berlin University of the Arts with a thesis on the history and present of zheng.
Ruirui Ye has lived in Germany since 2017. She has given lectures at the Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Musikforschung conference and the ICTMD World Conference on topics such as \u201cThe Development of the Zheng in the Digital Era\u201d. She has also been invited to give lectures at the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik und Theater Hamburg, the Universit\u00e4t der K\u00fcnste Berlin, the Universit\u00e4t Koblenz-Landau and the Universit\u00e4t f\u00fcr Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien.
Ruirui Ye has performed as a musician at the 75th anniversary of the Sinological Institute of the Free University of Berlin, at the Berlin Asia Arts Festival, at the China Time Festival in Hamburg, on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the twin cities of Hamburg and Shanghai and at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
