Fred received national recognition as a promising American poet with the publication of his poem \u201cLife\u2019s Innocent Persecution\u201d (National Collegiate Poetry Review, 1976). Thereupon, his poem was selected to be in an additional publication by NCPR with which this aforementioned poem would be among the best poems written by college students that year \u2013 and, thus, slated for print in NCPR\u2019s special edition in \u201cPegasus\u201d \u2013 which included a collection of a mere 70 out of 5,000 poems published, thereafter. However, Fred rejected to be printed in that edition, feeling it was better to put less pressure on himself as a writer at that time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nonetheless, in 1985 his play \u201cManhattan Manners\u201d (Alliance Coop Theater) received critical and audience praise within its guest appearance at The Grips Theater Studio. Fred recently completed his two-hundred and seventy-page novel (its setting <\/strong>in the political backdrop of Washington D.C. during the late-70s), while also remaining engulfed in yet a forthcoming third novel based | adapted from one of his six screenplays.
