Omid Mashhadi is a dramaturge, theatre maker, and performance studies scholar whose scholarly work examines the aesthetic and political efficacy of community-based theatre. He is interested in the aesthetic forms that emerge through collective artistic processes and in the ways such practices generate collective forms of narration and public presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is co-founder of Un-Formula, a research-artistic collective whose recent performances and performative exhibitions explore how the afterlives of political loss and the social regulation of mourning are translated across forms and media, unsettling the conventions through which mourning becomes publicly visible and intelligible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Currently, he is completing his PhD at Freie Universit\u00e4t Berlin with the dissertation project Counter Narrative Potency of Amateur Performance: Toward a Situated Aesthetic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
