She earned her doctorate at the Faculty of Law of the University of Potsdam. Her research is focused on the equality of Black people in Germany. She is the founder and chairwoman of the <em>Kaneza Foundation for Dialogue and Empowerment<\/em>, and she also runs the foundation&#8217;s <em>Office for the Rights of People of African Descent<\/em>. Since 2015 she promotes the <em>International Decade for People of African Descent<\/em> both at the national and international level.
