Not only has the city been repeatedly depicted within numerous prominent, renowned literary works, but with various\u00a0international authors choosing it as their actual living place, Berlin has now become a major center of world literature. Hence after the STADTSPRACHEN festival of 2016 this\u00a0<strong>online literary magazine<\/strong> was founded to present <strong>Berlin\u2019s multilingual contemporary literature<\/strong>\u00a0and to create a platform for all future activities of STADTSPRACHEN and its partners.<strong>\u00a0The texts are available in several languages!<\/strong><br \/>\n<span id=\"more-463\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We consider it to be crucial to finally raise public awareness for the multilingualism of contemporary Berlin literature by highlighting\u00a0its influences on the German literary scene as well as its international influence\u00a0and interrelations:\u00a0We are proud to present Berlin\u2019s multilingual contemporary literature! This is why\u00a0a special festival of the non-German-speaking, Berlin-based authors and literary groups took place citywide from October 28 to November 6, 2016.\u00a0For the first time, multilingual actions and performances, discourses and encounters had been heard in all the diverse voices of the city: the STADTSPRACHEN!<\/p>\n<p>Submit your prose, poetry or blog posts if you are a non-German-speaking, Berlin-based writer.
