She studied German at the University of Birmingham. After moving to Berlin in 1996 she worked as an English teacher until 2001. In 2001 she also concluded her education as a qualified translator at the University of London. Since 2002 she is an independent translator of German into English. In 2008 she founded the blog <em>love german books<\/em>. Furthermore, she manages the blog <em>Going Dutch with German Writers<\/em> and is co-editor of the online magazine <em>No Man&#8217;s Land<\/em>. Among the authors she translated are Inka Parei, Tilmann Ramstedt and Helene Hegemann.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bibliography\">Helene Hegemann: Axolotl Roadkill.
