What languages does Berlin write in? In April, we will once again be guests at the PANDA platforma, a long-standing friendly tradition. But one language will be heard for the first time at PARATAXE this evening: the author Irati Elorrieta<\/a><\/strong> has lived in the German capital for 20 years and speaks fluent German, but she very consciously writes in her mother tongue, Basque. Although there are Spanish editions of her award-winning prose and English translations, these have rarely been published in German. Time to change that! * The Argentinian Berliner Cristian Forte<\/a><\/strong> is no stranger to the literary scene – his experiments between literature and music are known to many; for his first appearance at PARATAXE, however, he brings along his German translator Laura Haber<\/a> and will come up with a very special, bilingual performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
