Berlin authors, who write in a language other than German, are presented through conversations, readings and translations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\">How often have you held in your hands a children\u2019s book about war and colonialism? Or a social and political novel about the summoned spirit of a renowned mystic? We\u2019ve invited <strong>Yi Meng Wu<\/strong> (China) and<strong> Zaza<\/strong> <strong>Burchuladze<\/strong> (Georgia) to the last PARATAXE presentation of the year in the Maschinenhaus in the Kulturbrauerei to join us for what promises to be an idiosyncratic evening with very special guests.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yi Meng Wu<\/strong> \u5433\u7995\u840c, designer, artist and cultural mediator, is the founder of Studio Wu in Berlin, which focuses on intercultural design between China and Europe. Her latest work \u201cYaotao\u2019s Characters\u201d tells the story of a young family in Beijing during the econd World War. It is also the story of living between cultures and languages and makes use of the writer\u2019s own history, as she was born in Shanghai and grew up in Germany. <strong>Zaza Burchuladze<\/strong>, on the other hand, confronts Georgian society with satirical, provocative humour. Burchuladze\u2019s style is funny and experimental.
