\nThe Haitian cult author with the German version of his latest novel makes his first guest appearance in Berlin.<\/p>\n

Gary Victor, born 1958 in Port-au-Prince, is one of Haiti’s most widely read writers, as well as a playwright and screenwriter. His controversially discussed contributions to film and television address the Haitian bourgeoisie in a relentless manner. He has received several awards for his novels, short stories and plays. The novels “Schweinezeiten”, “Soro” and “Suff und S\u00fchne”, with which he became known in the German-speaking world, were on the best list of crime novels as well as on the Litprom best list “Weltempf\u00e4nger”.<\/p>\n
