ausland is a project space for performative arts. Since its 2002 foundation in Berlin, the ausland has established itself as an event and production venue for concerts, performances, readings, sound installations, movies, workshops, and discussions. A group of up to 10 volunteers run an average of three events per week. It stages its own series \u201clyrik im ausland\u201d and thematic festivals (like \u201cAlter Schwede\u201d, in 2013), and works together with international cooperations (i.a. with the DAAD). The ausland lives on monetary and non-monetary resources.
