{"id":15510,"date":"2021-03-02T13:56:08","date_gmt":"2021-03-02T12:56:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stadtsprachen.de\/en\/?p=15510"},"modified":"2021-03-17T13:59:07","modified_gmt":"2021-03-17T12:59:07","slug":"issue-no-17","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stadtsprachen.de\/en\/issue-no-17\/","title":{"rendered":"Issue no. 17"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As we enter the fifth year of this publications existence and as we pace around the office, refreshing our submission inbox as we curate our newest issue with some of the most illuminating, most daring, most moving selection of Berlin\u2019s multilingual fiction, poetry and non-fiction we have ample reason and time, given the circumstances, to reflect on all the authors and languages that we have featured in throughout.<\/p>\n<p>And after having a thorough perusal of our entire back catalogue we\u2019ve gathered the following statistic: We have published more than 420 texts by 270 writers and almost 150 translators in a total of 39\u00a0different languages. As always, we welcome some new writers into the fold in issue no. 17 and as we have always been dedicated to celebrating both writers and their translator on equal merit we are now rereleasing some older texts with brand-new translations in this newest issue. We thrive to have every remaining monolingual text on this website translated in the future.<\/p>\n<p>On that note, we should mention that we will begin featuring translators from the project <em>texthelden<\/em> and their various translations of works by Berlin authors on our website throughout 2021.
