{"id":26249,"date":"2026-06-10T11:45:58","date_gmt":"2026-06-10T09:45:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stadtsprachen.de\/de\/?p=26249"},"modified":"2026-06-10T12:03:17","modified_gmt":"2026-06-10T10:03:17","slug":"ostpol-berlin-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stadtsprachen.de\/en\/ostpol-berlin-festival\/","title":{"rendered":">>> OSTPOL BERLIN Festival !"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-1 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>OSTPOL BERLIN Festival \u2013 Berlin\u2019s Central and Eastern European Artists<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Building on our previous projects on this topic (such as our Ostpol Berlin Symposium 2017, the<em> Fluchtpunkt Berlin Symposium<\/em> 2023 at the LCB, or the <em>UNRAST Berlin Festival<\/em> 2021 at the Maschinenhaus), as well as at the suggestion of many of our Central and Eastern European artist colleagues\u2014and following in the intellectual footsteps of the now sadly defunct Berlin \u201cOsteuropatage\u201d\u2014we have designed, with the help of experts and our guest curators, a strictly non-commercial festival program that embraces the diversity of Berlin\u2019s Eastern European scene and invites you to get to know and culturally explore the \u201ceastern side\u201d of Berlin in all its variety: Through bilingual events and numerous German translations, featuring readings, concerts, lectures, performances, and discussions, we bring the current aspects of our present to life in the vibrant colors of the arts: the <strong>OSTPOL BERLIN Festival from July 5 to 12<\/strong>, 2026, at the Maschinenhaus of the Kulturbrauerei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Berlin is in the East: Important artists from Central and Eastern Europe have shaped and continue to shape Berlin\u2019s cultural life in a decisive way. Making their influence visible, giving voice to their current perspectives and themes, and redrawing the lines connecting the past and the present, East and West, is the aim of our OSTPOL BERLIN Festival. Through bilingual events and German translations, as well as readings, concerts, lectures, performances, and discussions, we bring the current aspects of our present to life through the vibrant colors of the arts. We reach out to the broad, multilingual audience (not only) of Berlin and warmly invite everyone: There are remarkable and astonishing things to discover here!
