Together with their translators, Christiane Quandt (Sonia S.) and Joey Bahlsen (Ian O.), the authors will answer questions about their literary creations and their personal experiences as authors in Berlin in a familiar atmosphere. Martin Jankowski, author and Parataxe project-head, leads through the multilingual evening (German, English, Spanish) with surprises \u2013 and translations.<\/p>\n<p>Solarte Orejuela\u2019s variously published and prizewinning poems radiate energy: rhythm constitutes a fundamental characteristic of her texts; all along, uniting word and song has been a crucial objective for the Colombian.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4082 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/stadtsprachen.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/parataxe-LOGO-300x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"218\" height=\"218\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stadtsprachen.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/parataxe-LOGO-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/stadtsprachen.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/parataxe-LOGO-300x300-202x202.png 202w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 218px) 100vw, 218px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Ian Orti writes because he can\u2019t help it \u2013 and his writing has earned him both awards and recognition for his fascinating style \u2013 as well as comparison with names such as Ondaatje and Cohen. Linearity plays a minor role in his complex worlds, imaginative and labyrinthine in character.
