4am<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 4am, she slipped away.
No chores, or flaws, to face today.
Goals she’d chased
And times she’d wasted
No longer held her here.
She won’t feel the warmth of
This morning’s rising sun,
Or the chill of battles won.
All past sins now forgotten
Into Time, like threads in cotton
Clothes that hide us from eternity.
My deaf ears resent the crying dove
Like the rain might blame the clouds above.
And though I know she wore my love
Like a split and torn fake leather glove,
I’ll never be the same again…
My voiceless scream severs the dark
And roaring fires char my quiet heart.

Pearl<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A pretty girl,
Smiling like sunshine,
Lying through her teeth.
She lets the lie linger.
Another world,
Dying on the inside,
Tied to her belief
Of what love could bring her.
She cries herself dry, like an empty glass.
He lets her leave,
Because it’ll never be the same.
Behind the curtain, like a memory path
She walks down over and over again.
Her pearls are thrown,
Caught by sunlight,
Pale and white
Like her bare finger.

O<\/strong>mbres sota el sol (Shadows under the sun)<\/em>
R<\/strong>eunits per pensaments silensiosos. (Reunited by silent thoughts.)<\/em>
